Five Admirals traffic reduction trial decision.

Five Admirals traffic reduction trial decision.

We are writing to let you know that the trial changes to traffic in your area will be made permanent from February 2024

This includes the closures to through traffic on the junction of Beatty Avenue onto Mathew Bank, and the narrowing of the junction at Beatty of Avenue, Sturdee Gardens onto Jesmond Dene Road.

The closures were installed in February 2023 as part of a trial to reduce the amount of traffic cutting through your streets and to make some junctions safer and easier to use for up to 12 months.

With the trial period ending on 6th February 2024, we have reviewed the scheme and the decision made is to make the closure permanent.

you can view the Delegated Decision via this link https://democracy.newcastle.gov.uk/ieDecisionDetails.aspx?ID=13153
